Action for Youth Foundation Trust is a registered youth-serving, non-profit organization committed
to improve the life standard of youth in Zimbabwe through enhanced health access, climate
resilience, and civic engagement.
Due to the expansion of its programs within Harare Province, the organization is looking for a Program Assistant who will support the scaling up of the diverse programs on a volunteer basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
Program planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation.
Facilitating during the Group Safe Space and Community Dialogues.
Engaging with the implementing partners and stakeholders.
Report writing and donor engagement.
Representing the organization in any events or programs.
Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Development Studies or any relevant Social Sciences.
Agora Certificate of Completion on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse is a must.
Clear address, Age should be indicated in the CV or Resume.
Eligible Candidates who preside in Budiriro, Glen View, Glen Norah, Kuwadzana, Warren Park, Highfields, Kambuzuma will be prioritized on this call.
Able to work as a team.

Sign Language Translator (Volunteer x1)

resilience, and civic engagement.
Due to the increased number of young people who are deaf or hard of hearing within the communities we serve, the organization is seeking a Sign Language Translator who will support the Programs Department on a volunteer basis to ensure inclusivity and accessibility across all interventions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Translating program sessions, trainings, Group Safe Spaces and Community Dialogues into sign language.
Facilitating inclusive communication between participants, staff and stakeholders during program activities.
Supporting program planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation with an inclusion lens.
Assisting in engaging with implementing partners and stakeholders to promote inclusive programming.
Contributing to report writing, particularly on inclusion and accessibility components.
Representing the organization in events and programs while ensuring accessibility for persons with hearing impairments.
Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Development Studies or any relevant Social Sciences.
A Certificate in Sign Language from a reputable organization or institution is a must.
Agora Certificate of Completion on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse is an added advantage.

Ability to work effectively in a team.
