Sexual Health & Reproductive Education for Youth in Tertiary Institutions and HIV/STI Hot-spot Areas (SHARE4YTE) Project
Vocational and Technical Students often overlook the importance of accessing of Sexual Reproductive Health services including HIV testing, Sexual Transmitted Infections screening and many more due to their pressing learning schedules.
Action for Youth Foundation Trust in partnership with the National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe and Harare City Health provides capacity building on HIV & STIs, bridging the gap of information dissemination in students of vocational and technical institutions in Zimbabwe.
HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections remains a burden in Hot-Spot Areas where young people located and work. Action for Youth Foundation Trust conducts outreach providing services to the Most At-Risk Population (MARP) young people in HIV/STI Hot-Spot Areas.
Services offered under the SHARE4YTE Project
Promoting the correct and consistence use of condoms in Young People in Tertiary Institutions to fight Sexually Transmitted Infections including HIV and Unplanned Pregnancies
Increasing the uptake of SRHR services by young people by providing advocacy and capacity building, bridging the gap and closing the tap of new HIV infections in Tertiary Institutions.
Conducting Outreaches in hard to reach areas offering HIV testing and referral services to young people.
Promoting the health and well-being of industrial workers by providing information dissemination about SRHR and the provision of HIV testing services and condoms.
Participating and providing SRHR services, Drug and Substance Prevention Awareness Campaigns during the National Youth Programs reaching out to every youth on the event.
Providing technical assistance to service providers, university and college lecturers, through knowledge sharing on SRHR, HIV/STI Programming.
