About the HIV &PSS Project
This project supports young people living with HIV by creating safe spaces within health facilities, building the capacity of its beneficiaries and their parents & caregivers through Group Safe Space meetings and Parents & Caregiver Trainings to bridge information gaps, strengthening family support and amplifying the targeted young people’s voices.
Under this project, the organization does not work in isolation it works with various stakeholders that are Health Care Workers, Community Adolescents Treatment Supporters, District AIDS Coordinators and other funding & implementing partners. Action for Youth Foundation Trust is there to strengthen the existing community based youth-led HIV/TB programs for Young People Living with HIV.
Geographical Coverage
Action for Youth Foundation Trust works with Young People Livng with HIV in six health facilities in Harare South Western District.

Glenorah Satellite Clinic
Glenorah Satellite Clinic is one of our supported health facilities that provides quality and holistical care to Young People Living with HIV.
The health facility in partnership with Action for Youth Foundation Trust and National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe conducts Group Safe Space Meeting monthly, providing capacity building on HIV Partner Disclosure, boosting confidence and promoting the U=U Model.
Rutsanana Polyclinic
Rutsanana Polyclinic is one of our supported health facility providing HIV/TB, psycho-social support and capacity building for Young People Living with HIV.
Since August 2025 the organization reached a total 110 Young People Living with HIV with life saving information dissemination and capacity building on ART adherence, the integration of HIV & TB and other opportunistic infections etc.


Western Triangle Satellite Clinic
Western Triangle Satellite Clinic is located in Highfields serving different young people within the community. Our organization started to support the site in August 2025 and reached 77 Young People Living with HIV with information dissemination, ART adherence support, HIV Partner Disclosure skills etc.
Highfields Polyclinic
Since August 2025, our organization is supporting Highfields Polyclinic by co-facilitating and planning the life-saving Group Safe Space Meetings for Young People Living with HIV. A total of 112 Young People Living with HIV has bee reached. Different topics were discussed during the sessions


Budiriro Polyclinic
Budiriro Polyclinic was the first clinic in Harare to be supported by Action for Youth Foundation Trust reached more than 370 Young People Living with HIV receiving ART Adherence Information, Peer-Peer Support, HIV Partner Disclosure Training Sesions, etc.
Sally Mugabe Hospital
Sally Mugabe Hospital is the biggest health facility in the district. More than 200 Young People Living with HIV have been reached since August 2025. Like any other Group Safe Space Meetings, the adolescents at the health facility received capacity building on ART Adherence, U=U Campaign, Practical HIV Partner Disclosure, etc.

Parents & Caregivers Training Sessions
Parents and Caregivers of Young People Living with HIV often find it difficult to tell their young ones the reason why they are taking their ART Medication. Action for Youth Foundation Trust trained 221 Parents & Caregivers on HIV Primary Disclosure using the World Health Organization approved guidelines. These trainings are currently conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Health & Child Care, National AIDS Council and Action for Youth Foundation Trust.
