Our Projects
Action for Youth Foundation Trust implements various projects that supports capacity building, health and well-being for young people. Currently, the organization is implementing five projects that are HIV & Psycho-Social Support, Brighter Future Child Protection Project, Sexual Health and Reproductive Health Education for Youth in Tertiary Education & HIV Hot-Spot Areas (SHARE4YTE), Economic Strengthening Program for Young Positives (ESP4Y+) and the Youth2Youth Digital Health Model.

HIV & PSS Project
Supported by National AIDS Council & Ministry of Health & Child Care
This project supports young people living with HIV by creating safe spaces within health facilities, building the capacity of its beneficiaries through group safe space meetings to bridge informationgaps, strengthening family support and amplifying the targeted young people’s voices. Under this project, the organization does not work in isolation it works with various stakeholdersthat are Health Care Workers, Community Adolescents Treatment Supporters, District AIDS Coordinators etc. Action for Youth Foundation Trust is there to strengthen the existingcommunitybased safe spaces for young people living with HIV.
Economic Stengthening Program for Young Positives (ESP4Y+) Project
Funded by Saving African Families Enterprise (SAFE)
The ESP4Y+ Project is an innovative program designed to provide life skills and economic resilience to Youth Living with HIV complimenting the HIV & Psycho-Social Support Project. Skillsprovided under this project are not limited to cleaning detergents manufacturing, computer literacy skills, basic financial literacy skills, sewing, braiding, weaving etc. The organization primarily works with local health facilities, the National AIDS Council and the funder for the effective project
implementation.

Youth2Youth Digital Health Model
This is an innovative model that utilizes digital spaces to provide Sexual Reproductive Health Rights Information, tele-support services, promoting leadership skills transfer and advocacy through WhatsApp and Facebook targeting youth from diverse backgrounds and communities around the world. The organization invites interested stakeholders and participants to lead and participate during the training sessions and dialogues through LinkedIn & Facebook Pages and WhatsApp Channel.


Sexual Health & Reproductive Health Education for Youth in Tertiary Education & HIV/STI Hot-Spot Areas (SHARE4YTE) Project
Funded by Saving African Families Enterprise (SAFE)
The SHARE4YTE Project bridges HIV/STI information gaps and services between the health care centers and disadvantaged communities targeting young people in tertiary institutions and those living in HIV/STI hot-spot areas. The project focuses on providing HIV/STI awareness information, Community-based HIV Testing, Effective Condom Demonstration and distribution, Referrals for Clinical Services. Through this project, the organization works with local health facilities, National
AIDS Council and other partners with an aim to close the tap of new HIV infections.
Brighter Future Child Protection Project (BFCP) Project
This project provides support to Orphans & Vulnerable Children through school fees, stationary, clothing, warmth and food. The organization relies on donations, unsolicited funding sources for the day to day running of this project. The project team hand over the donations to the identified Orphans or Vulnerable Children during Christmas & Easter Drives. This project also conducts mentor-ships and life skills to the targeted beneficiaries under care. Through this project, Action for Youth Foundation Trust partners with Children’s Homes, the Department of Social Development, Individuals, Child Care Workers, Foster Care Parents and other partners to make to make it successful.
